Jennifer Hay

Jennifer Hay serves as the Executive Director of the B Sharp Youth Music Program.  Prior to joining the B Sharp Team in 2014, Ms. Hay served as a band director at Colleyville Heritage High School in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, at Ousley Junior High School in Arlington ISD, at Timberview High School in Mansfield ISD, at Martin High School in Arlington ISD, and at Murchison Middle School in Austin ISD.  Ms. Hay’s marching bands have earned recognition for high achievement at various marching competitions and at UIL Marching Contest throughout her career.  Ms. Hay has earned Sweepstakes at UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest with her concert bands as well as Outstanding Performance ratings at numerous festivals.

Ms. Hay was named the Ousley Junior High School Teacher of the Year in addition to receiving the honor of being named one of the top three Outstanding Junior High School teachers in the Arlington Independent School District (2011-2012).  Ms. Hay received a Citation of Excellence from the National Band Association for outstanding contributions to bands and band music (1999).

Ms. Hay holds a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelors degree in Music Education from The University of Texas at Austin.  During her time at The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Hay served in numerous leadership positions including serving as President of the Longhorn Band during her senior year.

Ms. Hay previously served as the Circuit Administrator for the North Texas Colorguard Association, the UIL Solo & Ensemble Chair for the Region 5 High Schools, and as the TMEA Region 5 Middle School/Junior High Band Chair.  Ms. Hay is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association.
