Rachel Nave received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University and has taught at Chouteau Fine Arts Academy (Tulsa, OK) for 6 years. As an advocate for an Oklahoma A+ demonstration academy, she involves students with an enhanced curriculum of arts integration, technology-infused projects, experiential learning and enriched assessments. Her professional certifications include the Harwelden Arts Institute and OK Artists in the Schools. Leader of the Fine Arts Committee at her previous school, she monitored the art standards within the classrooms and assisted teachers in arts integration development. In addition, she has served on the PBIS Team, Green Efforts Committee, Site Technology Coordinator, Title I Tutor and Principal’s Leadership Team.
Ms. Nave is excited to join the B Sharp Program for the 2015-2016 school year. As the first grade educator, she hopes to inspire students entering their first year in the program by integrating music into the core curriculum and establishing an environment where students develop a passion for exploring their talents in music.
