Bernard Pereira is beginning his first year with the B Sharp family serving as Program Coordinator. Bernard graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Management from Phoenix University.
Bernard comes to us with 20 plus years of experience in Behavioral Management. He worked for 20 years at a local agency in Fort Worth, where he had many roles from offering in-home crisis intervention, to working as a Consultant in the Behavior Improvement Class, and serving as a Lead Interventionist in Discipline Alternative Educational Program. Bernard took on the role of foster home Developer/Supervisor for a local Foster Care Agency in Arlington. He was responsible for placing foster children in foster homes, training and supervision of staff, and foster parents.
The past three years, Bernard worked at an elementary school in Fort Worth as Program Specialist. Bernard assisted in developing strategies to promote positive student behavior and academics. He started several programs while there including an organization focusing on parent engagement, an initiative to get dads more involved in school academics with their children and a male leadership program. Bernard taught parenting classes and has worked with new teachers on classroom management skills.
Bernard believes that changing behaviors starts with building trusting relationships. His purpose is to help others to set goals that will improve their quality of life, one family, one child, at a time.
